1. Introduction

Welcome to Alder & Vale. By engaging our bookbinding services or purchasing our ready-made journals, you agree to these terms. We are a bookbinding and repair studio based in Bath.

2. Products and Services

We offer two primary services: bespoke bookbinding and repair, and the sale of ready-made journals. Bespoke work is quoted on an individual basis. Ready-made journals are sold as described in our online shop.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices for ready-made journals are as listed on our website. For bespoke services, we provide a custom quote. A 40% deposit is required for all bespoke projects before work commences. Final payment is due upon completion, prior to collection or dispatch.

4. Fulfilment and Delivery

For bespoke projects, we will notify you via email once your item is ready. Ready-made journals are processed and dispatched according to the shipping information provided at checkout.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Bespoke deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced. If you wish to cancel a bespoke order before work begins, please contact us immediately. Ready-made journals may be returned in original condition within 14 days of receipt.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information when requesting quotes or placing orders. You may not use our services for any unlawful purpose or to submit content that infringes on the rights of others.

7. Liability

Alder & Vale is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service or product in question.
